a lot of people who signed up in the beginning with zero posts (and people who haven't posted in over a year) are friends of mine, because i can recognize their usernames.... and there are people who don't post for a while but come back eventually, so I don't want to delete them yet...
but i can clear out all the new users with zero posts fairly easily
right now the forum is set up so new users can't start new posts, they can only reply to existing threads. so if someone posts in the introduction thread or replies without weird spam stuff, i can add them to a group of real people that is allowed to start new threads
it pretty much sucks but i'm not sure what else to do
EDIT: so I just went and pruned the new users with 0 posts and got rid of about 70 pages of members
